Need some #votespiration? No sweat! We tapped nearly 40 of your favourite acts and asked them: Who’s in your Top 10?

This year’s Hottest 100 champs Glass Animals, Spacey Jane, BENEE, G Flip, Baker Boy, The Wombats, Arlo Parks, and Lime Cordiale are just a taste of the many names that have shared their Hottest 100 votes with y'all.

If you want all the lists, you’ll find them in the ‘Get Inspired’ section of the Hottest 100 website, alongside Top 10s from all your triple j presenters. As you can imagine, everyone’s picks for the Hottest songs of 2021 are incredibly varied. from big anthems to underrated gems. But there are some interesting trends…

King Stingray are a clear artist’s favourite. The 2021 Unearthed Artist of the Year appear in eight different ballots and the #1 pick for three acts. “The first time we heard ‘Milkumana’ -- it absolutely blew us away,” says The Jungle Giants. “There’s so much self confidence in the song.”

King Stingray’s ‘Get Me Out’ is the top song for Holy Holy and Skegss, who say “it’s got the catchiest chorus and they’re the best new band easy!”

Skegss, Holy Holy, and The Jungle Giants also threw votes down for another Aussie act that looks like a hot ticket: Amyl & The Sniffers. The pub-punks’ track ‘Hertz’ was song of the year for Spacey Jane, Lime Cordiale, Genesis Owusu, Ruby Fields, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and Polish Club.

Middle Kids were at the top of the votes for MAY-A (“I’ve listened to ‘Stacking Chair’s over 200 times!”) and Ball Park Music, who trumped up the closing title track from Today We’re The Greatest. “[They’re] masters of melody. Everything they release is just extremely memorable and seems to occupy space in our head with ease.”

As for Middle Kids themselves, The KID LAROI’s megahit ‘Stay’ ft. Justin Bieber was the big pick for them (and quite a few others). “It drives us crazy that ‘Stay’ [is] only two minutes long, so we need to listen to it at least 10 times to be satisfied.”

Sycco, who made her Hottest 100 debut last year, is another local treasured by locals, scoring votes for 'Past Life' (Lime Cordiale, Gretta Ray) and 'Time's Up' (G Flip, Jungle Giants). But Sycco herself wants everyone to know she's a Remi Wolf stan. "‘Quiet On Set’ was one of the so many incredible and wild songs that she released on her album this year. I back Remi all the way!

Also on the international front, Wolf Alice and JUNGLE are proving popular. Especially the former’s ‘How Can I Make It Ok?’ – as named by The Rubens, Sycco, and The Jungle Giants – while JUNGLE’s ‘Keep Moving’ earned a spot in the Top 10s of Space Jane, The Wombats, Holy Holy and Client Liaison.

PinkPantheress is another recurring favourite. The British viral sensation is the artist of choice for the J Award and ARIA sweeping Genesis Owusu and BENEE, who loves her "super smart" lyrics and melodies. "She can sing over any beat even if it’s just a simple loop and she somehow makes it sound great!"

Unsurprisingly, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Doja Cat were big faves across the board, though interestingly for varying songs.

The likes of London Grammar, Laurel, and Sly Withers picked ‘good 4 u’ over the breakout ‘driver’s license’, while different Doja Cat collabs were chosen by BENEE (‘You Right’ ft. The Weeknd), girl in red (‘Kiss Me More’ ft. SZA), and Illy (‘Pay Day’ ft. Young Thug.

Speaking of Illy, his fave song and album of the year showed up in quite a few Top 10s. “Who had a bigger year than Lil Nas X?” he remarks of the MONTERO star, who also scored votes with G Flip, Holy Holy, Gretta Ray, and several triple j presenters.

‘Heat Waves’ hit-makers Glass Animals say their song of the year is British rapper Pa Salieu, and his link-up with Slowthai, ‘Glidin’, which “felt like a perfect song to break out and get life going again. It’s a wicked piece of music by an incredible artist.” triple j’s own Ebony Boadu and Lewis Hobba would agree, the track made their Top 10 as well.
