Let's Meet Andrei!

My journey started as an adopted child in Hong Kong to American parents. I spent the first half of my life in a British school where I learned how to play different instruments such as the violin and guitar. When my family and I moved to Massachusetts, I continued my love for music in orchestra and band. I figured out how to navigate American public school as an Asian kid with a British accent. Well now without the accent... I heard my first Country song when my high school girlfriend made me a mixtape. It was Taylor Swift's, Love Story. After hearing that song, I said, "That's Country music?". I googled Country music guitar players and the first few results were Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban. Instantly, I fell in love with their music, and started learning every one of their songs. At this point, I wasn't singing, I was just playing guitar, but I knew if anyone was gonna hear my guitar playing, I needed to sing and write. My goal was to graduate high school early, and go to a music college. Sure enough I did. I was accepted to Berklee College of Music as a songwriting major. After a few semesters, I left Berklee early to move to Nashville in pursuit of a songwriting career as the Asian Country Singer. Although my journey has taken lots of twists and turns, I am excited to share what its taught me with people like you. Hi, I am Andrei. Currently, you can find me playing full band shows at different venues across the country! This summer, I'm headed to Kentucky, North and South Carolina, Florida, Texas and California. I am also in the process of recording different singles to release. Songs such as Irish Goodbye, Get Lost, a new version of Find My Way, and more!

Tips to fellow artists:

I think the best advice I would share with other artists would be to show kindness and compassion to everyone. I feel like it's easy to get caught up in yourself or the music, but at the end of the day life is short and you can make a difference in peoples lives even if you don't know it.
