Let's Get to Know LT from Australia!
Music has been a part of me ever since I can remember. I had a bit of trouble settling into high school so music became my best friend and something that I could always come home to. I couldn't wait to get home to my bedroom and would dive into a sea of chords, tab, and Nirvana songs and spend hours swimming around. I live in Cairns now, but am from Brisbane originally and moved to Australia when I was 10 from Papua New Guinea, but born in England. Hahah. It's a lot. The music I make right now is in the Indie-Pop landscape, but I love all types of music and guess that's why my work is a little eclectic. I love anything from Lorde to JJ Cale and Shakey Graves, from K-Flay to The Streets, and loving a new discovery funk bassist called Blu De Tiger. Sooooo much good music, such little time. I've been lucky enough to support acts such as Missy Higgins, Ball Park Music and Bernard Fanning and have had my music used on Channel 7, ABC TV, and Spotify/AAMI Insurance advertising. I've been plugging away for a while so it's super nice when great things happen like that and can't wait to see what new adventures are coming my way. New track out soon called 'Rollercoaster' which is written about caring for someone who suffers BiPolar. It's a co-write with Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe) and Edwin White (Vance Joy) and we hope to have more on the way later this year.
Tips to fellow artists:
Try not to snooze too long. Work as hard as you can early on, make connections, and take each opportunity seriously. You only get once chance so try to do your best at each moment. It's not always easy, and I certainly have not followed this advice, hahah, hence why I am offering it!
