What is the Shit Box Rally?
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for the Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 13th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the 2023 Autumn rally target set at $2,000,000 plus.
We’re raising $$ for cancer research by taking part in the SHITBOX Rally Autumn 2023. A 3000km journey from our home city of Newcastle to Townsville, via Betoota, over some of the most formidable roads…… all in a $1500 shitbox car.
Why the Nut Truckers? Gilly is a Cancer survivor and contributes a whole nut to the team's total of three. Speirsy’s dad is also a survivor, and we’ve both lost family and stood by our mates as they’ve lost loved ones to this horrible disease.
What do people need to bring?
Good vibes, and a community mindset to support the Nut Truckers Shitbox Rally team to raise money for the Cancer Council. Food and drinks can be purchased with Karma Kegs from Steel City. Children Welcome with adult supervision.
